Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc. traces its roots back to 1929 when William A. Hillenbrand formed the company as a division of Hillenbrand Industries. At that time, the company was focused on developing innovative beds and furnishings for hospital patient rooms. Now, after nearly 80 years, Hill-Rom leads the way as an innovator in the medical technology field developing solutions that enhance outcomes for patients and their caregivers.

In March 2008, Hillenbrand Industries spun off its Batesville Casket Company into a free-standing public company under a new parent called Hillenbrand, Inc. At the same time, Hillenbrand Industries renamed itself Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc. and now moves forward toward its health care related goals and mission.

Hill-Rom now has nearly $1.5 billion in annual revenues and is a leading manufacturer and provider of medical technologies and related services for the health care industry, including patient support systems, non-invasive therapeutic products for a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, medical equipment rentals and integrated information technology solutions. Hill-Rom's comprehensive product line delivers solutions across the care continuum in hospitals, long-term care facilities and home care settings. Based in Batesville, Ind., Hill-Rom employs more than 6,500 people and has operations located around the world.
